Mabli
A calm, private space for you and your relationship.
A Thackr product · designed & built by Josh Thackeray
The problem
Support for relationships is hard to reach: waiting lists, cost and the awkwardness of asking. Most apps also forget you the moment you close them, so staying connected ends up relying on willpower.
What I built
Mabli is a consumer app I designed and built end to end. It offers private solo conversations and joint sessions a couple both join, drawing on well-established approaches from couples work (Gottman-informed techniques, CBT and ACT-style reframing) translated into warm, plain conversation. The harder engineering is memory: Mabli holds onto what matters, notices patterns over weeks, and reaches back out with a gentle, specific check-in, so the small things get talked about before they grow. Everything is private, encrypted and deletable at any time.
Highlights
- Private solo sessions and joint sessions a couple both join
- Long-term memory that notices patterns over weeks, not just today
- Proactive, gentle check-ins between conversations
- Grounded in Gottman, CBT and ACT-style approaches
- Private, encrypted, and yours to delete anytime
- UK-based, and clear that it supports rather than replaces professional care
